This notice explains how FINE POINT CONSTRUCTION LTD, trading as Sheen Builders ("we", "us"), handles your personal information when you use this website or contact us. What we collect

When you send a quote request through this website, we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, the postcode of the property, the type of project, any budget and timescale you choose, and your message. We also record which page of the website you sent the form from.

We do not store your IP address with your enquiry. To protect the form from spam, submissions that look automated are discarded and a note of the sending IP address is kept in our server logs.

If you phone or email us directly, we keep the information you share so we can respond and, if you go ahead, carry out the work.

How we use it and why

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a visit and prepare a quote. The lawful basis is that this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you. If you become a client, we use your details to carry out and manage the work under our contract, and to meet our legal obligations, such as keeping financial records.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the service providers who host this website and deliver our email, and only so they can provide those services to us. If you go ahead with a project, we may share relevant details with people involved in it, such as your architect, structural engineer, building control or party wall surveyors, where that is needed to carry out the work.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests only for as long as we need them to respond to you and, if you do not go ahead, delete them when they are no longer needed. Client records are kept for as long as we need them to deliver the work and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. In some cases you can also ask us to transfer it to you or someone else. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
